Voice/Data Convergence
What ever happened to free voice services?

Dave O'Callagahn
Cisco Systems
Operations Director/Mountain States

When IP technology was introduced, it was heralded as a way for companies to get free voice services over their data networks. With the decline in voice revenue, and the technical complexities involved in managing packet networks,  this new technology has not yet been adopted by the majority of corporations, but is growing in popularity.  Dave will discuss the importance of the direction the technology is taking to integrate voice, data and video, and what this means in terms of applications, and how it can benefit corporations. Dave will also host a technical demo of telephony system applications.

As Operations director, Dave oversees Sales and Systems Engineering staffs in a six state region of Cisco's commercial customers. Dave holds a BS degree from Bowling Green State University, and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Commissioner on the Governor's Commission on Science and Technology, and is a Board Member for Colorado State University's Industry Advisory Board.
