A survey was sent to the RMIMA newsletter group to gather data on highly successful projects.  This will be presented at the March 14, 2013, RMIMA meeting as part of a research paper written by Steve Wille and Dr. James Rairdon.  If you have not completed the survey there is still time.

Please click on this link to complete the survey.

A successful project is one that goes according to plan. A highly successful project is that and more. You know one when you see one. It may accomplish something with high strategic value or it may far exceed everyone’s expectations. How many highly successful projects can you recall? What make them different? We surveyed information technology managers, project managers, and project team members to see if there was a pattern differentiating the highly successful projects from the less successful projects. We looked at management history to get a long term view of things that can make a difference. We also looked at our own experiences and will present a personal case study.
